So, if you’re looking for a powerful and adjustable mod with stylish design, then look no further than the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 TC Box Mod. This mod is one to get you going for the whole day without letting you down.
That said, this triple-18650 box mod boasts of a three-button panel as well as a small but impressive 0.69” OLED display. At the top of the unit, you’ll get an indented 510 connection pin made using aluminum for maximum durability. And just beneath the 510 connection, you’ll get battery ventilation holes and a USB charging port beneath the OLED display.
Keep in mind that the USB charging port is mainly for upgrading the. Furthermore, vapers can switch to more creative settings to suit their vaping needs thanks to the four available mode options: the VW, TC-Ni, TC-SS, and TC-Ti. Therefore, if you’re a cloud chaser, this one is definitely for you.
Stylish and Sturdy Design
And as you may already know, this unit’s setup is designed by the famous American designer, JayBo, with the triple 18650 batteries inside playing a crucial role in determining the overall shape and size. The three cells are arranged at the back of the device in a poly-angular shape making the device more ergonomic.
And despite all these batteries, this device stands at a mere 3.3” tall and 1.4” across enabling it to accommodate large tanks and atomizer heads which is a significant plus.
The stainless steel and zinc alloy construction also feel extremely solid and lightweight whereas the gold-plated 510 connector pin and vape tank fit flush with this unit. However, if you fit in the three batteries, you’ll immediately feel the additional weight. This is an area that we think Reuleaux Wismec RX200 should work on since this box mod won’t sit well with most on-the-go vapers out there.
Clear OLED Screen Display
In addition to that, the menu is easy to navigate and intuitive enough than those found in the older RX200 versions. The only downside is that the screen seems a bit dimmer. Another feature that we like about the screen is that you’ll get an option to select whether it should display the remaining battery power in percentages or battery bar.
I prefer the more precise battery percentage option.
The temperature control wires supported by the RX200 are TC-Ni, TC-Ti, TC-SS, and VW. Also, the temperature range for the TC mode is between 200-600ºF, with the maximum wattage output ranging from 1-200W.
All you have to do to get this device into TC mode is to click the “power button” three times and then use the + and – buttons to select your preferred settings. However, the setting mode you choose should match with your temperature control coil.
Micro USB Charging/Updating Port
The venting in the RX200 is precisely identical to the one in the DNA 200, which has three holes on the sides as well as 20 holes at the base. Also, the Micro-USB charging/upgrading port is located sensibly at the unit’s front.
However, as we had mentioned earlier, you should only use it when updating the firmware because you might have to wait forever to recharge your batteries using this option. In fact, the instructional manual clearly states that you should recharge the batteries externally.
NOTE: The firmware update raises the overall wattage capacity of the mod from 200W to 250W.
Great Battery Performance
First of all, the R200 is powered by three 18650 battery cells. What this means is that you won’t have to recharge your batteries that often, as you’ll be getting around 3-4 days of usage. And yes, the unit also delivers outstanding performance thanks to the three cells.
But again, it all boils down to how often you vape and the amount of wattage you’re using. For instance, if you’re vaping at 200W, you’re likely to burn through your batteries and e-juice much faster than vaping at 60W. Still, the cells are expected to last for at least 24 hours if you’re a hardcore vaper. And it can last at least 72 hours plus if you’re a more casual vaper.
All in all, the design and build quality of this box mod is top-notch. The only significant change with the Wismec Reuleaux R200 is that the unit comes in either red or matte white. I’m pretty sure if you lay your hands on the red version, you’ll most certainly fall in love with its excellent finish.
Pros and Cons
- Easy-to-use 3-button configuration
- High-powered, hence high performance
- Free firmware upgrade
- Quality battery life
- A bright OLED display with well-organized menu
- Compatible with large tanks and atomizer heads
- The weight isn’t ideal for carrying around
- Unreliable dry hit protection
- Limited vaping output modes
The Bottom Line
The Reuleaux RX200 is an excellent option for those who are on a budget but are not looking to sacrifice high-performance. While this mod doesn’t feature the DNA 200 chip, it certainly performs very well thanks to the Wismec chip that offers up to the 200W output.
And of course, most vapers like it due to the pocket-friendly price tag. The only serious downside is that it’s a bit heavy once all the batteries are loaded. However, the general form factor is still great. In short, this vape mod is definitely worth your every penny and time.
