The Alto is considered one of the best products from Vuse, chiefly because it is easy to use and works great as a first vape pod or a backup for experienced vapers. In this review, we will cover what makes it so great for beginners and vapers on the go, as well as how it stacks up to similar pod systems.
Specifications
Vuse Alto Pod System
What’s in the Kit?
Though the Alto performs fine in most areas, Vuse could have done better in the flavor department. This is because there’s only four to choose from: rich tobacco, original, menthol, and mixed berry. You’ll also notice that the pod system comes without a user manual, but that’s more of a testament to its ease of use than an oversight from the manufacturer.

Build Quality & Design
The pod system has two sections, one containing the battery, and the other the pod. They link up magnetically, which is excellent because detaching them is easy. The magnetic connection is quite secure too. The device is built well enough that it won’t leak or suffer from liquid bubbles inside the pod. Beginners should have an easy time getting to know the ins and outs of the Vuse Alto.
Mouthpiece
The mouthpiece is roughly the diameter of a cigarette butt. It fits comfortably between the lips. Anyone transitioning from cigarettes to vape pens will hardly feel the difference.

Pod Capacity
The pods are non-refillable. Any attempt to “hack” them and refill them manually will most likely result in leakages that can damage the battery. Besides, pod refills only cost around $13.50 per pair of pods, which should take you a week or so to go through.
Green LED Light
It’s important to pay attention to how the light behaves because, without it, you won’t be able to tell when the device needs to be recharged.

QuietDraw™ Technology and 350mAh Battery
The Vuse Alto’s battery packs a modest 350 milli-ampere-hours capacity. It can last roughly a day or a day and a half depending on your usage. It takes 70 to 80 minutes to charge to completion. What’s more, you can still vape while it charges thanks to pass-through technology and a lengthy charging cord.
It should be noted that the Alto uses a unique charger. It’s not advisable to use any other type of charger to charge it.
Why the Vuse Alto is a Beginner’s Dream
The Alto doesn’t need coil replacements or re-wicking. It doesn’t have a fire button either, because it is draw-activated. In essence, it is the perfect plug-and-play vape pod, because all you need to do is charge it, connect the pod, and draw on the mouthpiece.
Juul vs. Vuse Alto
However, when it comes to flavor choices, Juul beats the Alto, which only has four. The Juul has eight.

Is the Vuse Alto for You?
The pod and battery link up magnetically. The connection is secure, and they are quite easy to separate. Charging time is about one hour, and you can still vape while it charges. Meanwhile, QuietDraw™ technology gives you one of the quietest vaping experiences you will ever find.
Is it the most powerful pod system? Certainly not, but what the Alto lacks in performance, it makes up for in reliability, an excellent build, great ergonomics, and unrivaled ease of use.
