SMOK is one of the leading companies in the e-cigarette industry that allows you to enjoy any flavor when you are in and out. It means that you can tuck it into a pocket and enjoy the outdoors without needing a refill or charge until you get back home.
If you get the full starter kit, you will have everything ready to go immediately after you buy (does not have e-juice).
Now that I have used it, I found it well designed though I must confess there is one thing I did not like. Why did they have to design it with an internal battery?
You have come to accept that if you want really small box mods, you got to have internal batteries since you can have average battery capacity while still keeping the mod small enough.
However, the Stick V8 is large enough to have a 18650, and I suspect that that is what they have as the internal battery. There is not that much sophistication needed, and hence I think a removable battery should have been more appropriate.
I am guessing they decided on an internal battery for the sake of beginners, though the way it has been positioned does not seem optimum for newbies.
Maybe I am just going nuts over insignificant details though I like that they put in a 3000mAh capacity battery. There is not much more to say about the base, given that it is unregulated.
Depending on how much charge you have in the battery, you may have variable voltage outputs, meaning that you only have one button for engaging the coil and for turning the device off or on.
If you are familiar with the Big Baby Tank, you would know that it is a good quality tank with most modern features you would expect from the likes of SMOK. Some of these features include a top with an easy swivel making for easy filling and adjustable airflow. The coils are excellent and will be good for between one and two weeks.
There have been times when the tanks did leak though I have always found that replacing the coil fixes the problem. That is one of the things you need to take into account if you intend to get the Stick V8.
The 0.25-ohm coil gives some good flavors though the cloud is not as huge as the 0.15ohm coil, which comes with slightly less flavorful coils and impressive clouds.
The biggest difference between the two coils is that the 0.15 ohm allows for a big and smooth draw, given that it is more open as compared to the 0.25-ohm coil.
You do not get any flexibility on the power options since the voltage delivered depends on how much charge you have in the battery. It is impossible to select the voltage, wattage, or even the temperature that you want to vape at.
Such vapes give better performance when they are holding a full charge. The good thing is that it comes with a battery indicator, so you will always know when you need to charge it. However, to get the best experience, you have to keep it with a reasonable charge whenever you can.
You can always switch the coil to make the kit more adjustable on its power settings.
Who Is It Suitable for
If you are a new enthusiast, you may have a difficult time deciding what to go for given the wide diversity of vaping devices to choose from. If you find it intimidating to make a choice, you can always go with a ready to go option such as the SMOK Stick V8.
One of the biggest advantages of the Smok Stick V8 kit is that it does not come with many of the bells and whistles common in contemporary vapes, instead of coming with the easy one-click operation.
You only need to know where the fire button is, and you are good to go. If the battery has a charge and the tank is full, you can start vaping. This makes the V8 perfect kit for people getting introduced to vaping or for newbies.
They would make for a good gift for your smoking grandparents as they will not find it too complex as compared to modern vaping devices.
